Working Principles

The OxyVital™, is an innovative resistance training tool for enhancing lung capacity and breathing performance, recommended by the Journal of Physical Therapy Science. It is scientifically validated to strengthen breathing muscles and improve cardiovascular endurance. Studies involving highly trained collegiate cross-country athletes revealed significant benefits. Users experienced increased Forced Vital Capacity (FVC), higher hematocrit levels indicating more red blood cells, and improved Respiratory Exchange Ratio (RER) during high-intensity exercises. This led to enhanced carbon dioxide expulsion, increased oxygen consumption, and reduced fatigue. The research aligns with the benefits of altitude training, such as increased red blood cell concentration and efficiency. All participants using the OxyVital™ reported improved ventilatory muscle strength and greater air ventilation volume, marking it as a highly effective tool for breath training and lung health.

Improuvement Process

Users report they felt better within the first few days of using the OxyVital™. The more often you use it and adapt to the best resistance for you, the better results you will have.

Using Guide

Step 1: Prepare Your Trainer

Before you begin, ensure that your air resistance trainer is clean. Insert the mouthpiece in your mouth with the engraved word “top” at the base of the mouthpiece facing up. Bite down on the inner sides of the mouthpiece to hold it in place.

Step 2: Proper Breathing Technique

Stand or sit comfortably in an upright position, maintaining good posture, or use it as part of your workout routine. Adjust the resistance level to your preferred breathing resistance (make it challenging but not uncomfortable). Inhale deeply through the mouthpiece until you can’t anymore, and then exhale through the mouthpiece until you're almost out of breath. Focus on filling your lungs completely with air. This action engages your inspiratory muscles.

Step 3: Controlled Exhalation

Remove the unit from your mouth and breathe normally until you catch your breath. Then repeat the above exercise 10 times to complete one set. Do 2 to 4 sets per day, preferably before any meals.

Please make sure to read the disclaimers and steps before using the OxyVital™. These can be found here or in our eBook. We include a free eBook guide with every order that goes in-depth on how to master breathing and performance with the OxyVital™ properly. Make sure to read the disclaimers before use.

Scientific Approuval

1. Inspiratory Muscle Training Improves Lung Function and Exercise Capacity in Adults with Cystic Fibrosis (2004)

What was the study about?
This study looked at whether strengthening the breathing muscles (through inspiratory muscle training or IMT) could improve lung function and overall physical ability in adults with cystic fibrosis (CF).

How was it done?
29 adults with CF were split into three groups:

  • One group did high-intensity breathing exercises (80% of their maximum effort).
  • Another group did low-intensity exercises (20% effort).
  • The last group did no training (control group).

What did they find?

  • High-intensity training improved lung strength, made the diaphragm (the main muscle for breathing) thicker, increased lung capacity, and helped the participants perform better physically. It also reduced anxiety and depression.
  • Low-intensity training only improved lung strength but not as much.
  • The control group saw no improvements.

Takeaway:
Doing high-intensity breathing exercises significantly helps people with CF improve their lung function, breathing muscles, and even their mental well-being.

2. Effect of Respiratory Muscle Training in Asthma: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (2023)

What was the study about?
This review combined 11 different studies to see if breathing exercises (specifically respiratory muscle training or RMT) could help people with asthma.

What did they look at?
The researchers examined the effects of RMT on breathing strength, asthma symptoms, use of rescue medications, lung function, and quality of life.

What did they find?

  • RMT improved breathing muscle strength, but it didn't significantly change lung function or how well people could exercise.
  • The breathing exercises seemed to help with breathing endurance and might reduce the need for medication during asthma attacks.
  • No negative side effects were reported.

Takeaway:
Breathing exercises help strengthen the muscles used in breathing for people with asthma, though more research is needed to fully understand other benefits like exercise improvement and medication reduction.
